House Rules
1. Hours of Opening and ClosingThe Club House shall be open from 08.00 until 23.00 or as otherwise directed by the House Committee. Intoxicating liquors shall be supplied only by the Club, during the following hours: 1.1 On weekdays (not being Christmas Day or Good Friday): 1.2 On Sundays, other than Christmas Day and on Good Friday: 1.3 On Christmas Day: 2. Consumption of Alcohol on Club Premises by Under 18sConsumption of Alcohol on Club Premises by Under 18s 3. DogsMembers may not bring dogs beyond the gates at the entrance to the car park except for the purpose of taking them directly to and from a boat, when the dog shall be on a lead. At no time may dogs be exercised on Club premises. 4. Guests4.1 Members shall have the privilege of introducing any guest provided such guest has not been rejected as a candidate for election, or that his name has not been struck off the List of Members for non-payment of subscription or any other cause. No member may introduce more than three guests at any one time. The member so introducing shall be held responsible for the character and status of the guest being such as will be acceptable to members, and for his infringement of any of these rules; the member shall enter the name of such guest in a book provided. A member introducing a guest shall pay all monies due to the Club in respect of such guest, who shall on no account be permitted to pay. 4.2 No person may come as a guest to the Clubhouse or any other part of the Club premises more than four times in one year. 5. Payments5.1 Members and visitors visiting the Club must discharge all liabilities incurred before leaving. If any member or visitor fails to do so, the Secretary shall write requesting immediate payment; omission to comply with this request shall be deemed a default and render the member liable to expulsion. 5.2 In the case of a visitor such omission shall cause refusal of further entry to the Club premises. 6. Tariff of ChargesA Tariff of Charges shall be exhibited in the Club House. 7. Suggestion and ComplaintsEvery member shall sign his name and address in a book kept for the purpose when called upon to do so by any officer or employee of the Club. 8. Steward's BookEvery member shall sign his name and address in a book kept for the purpose when called upon to do so by any officer or employee of the Club. 9. GratuitiesNo employee of the Club shall receive any gift, money or gratuity from any supplier of the Club. Albeit that no gratuity shall be expected or mandatory, any Club member may make a reasonable gratuity to catering staff for their services. No other payment should be made by any individual Club members to any Club employee. 10. Club PropertyNo member shall remove from the Club any newspaper, book, pamphlet, writing paper, towels, or any property of the Club. Neither shall any notice, either written or printed be laid on the tables or put up in the Club without the signature of the Secretary and payment of the prescribed fee. 11. Impropriety of ConductAny impropriety of conduct affecting the character of a member, or any infraction of these rules and regulations shall be taken cognisance of by the House Committee who shall, if they deem it advisable, at once report it to the Committee. The Member so offending is liable to disciplinary action under the Constitution, paragraph 13. 12. Reference to the CommitteeAnything not provided for by these rules shall be referred to the Committee, whose decision shall be final. 13. BathingNo bathing shall be permitted from the Club premises. 14. Board SailingThe sailing of sail-boards at Wroxham Broad by members of the Club is permitted providing: 14.1 Board sailors are off the water thirty minutes before the start of the first race. 14.2 Board sailors remain off the water until the racing programme has been completed. 14.3 The Club is not requested to provide Class racing for board sailors. 14.4 Board sailors do not enter Allcomers B or mixed Allcomers races. 15. Food and BeveragesMembers may not consume their own food or beverages within the Clubhouse except where children are involved. 16. Emptying of sea-toiletsNo sea-toilets are allowed to be used within the confines of the Club shore moorings and all chemical WCs must be discharged ONLY in the facility provided and not in the Clubhouse toilets. 17. Dress CodeMembers are requested that they should be properly attired at all times within the Clubhouse. After 7.30pm ‘smart casual’ wear is to be worn in the bar. |
